Nestled between the historic towns of Cognac and Saintes, on the banks of the Charente River, lies Le Logis (Manor House). Its English owners have individually renovated the disused Cognac distillery buildings into 3 unique boutique Gites. In an area blessed with a unique micro climate, making it the second sunniest region in France and with the best on-site facilities in the area:kids outdoor play area, guests bar, games room, private gym, heated salt water pool, pet corner and acres of enclosed land for children to roam free safely, Gites du Logis is the ideal location for a family holiday.
Le Logis is set within the heart of the picturesque village of Dompierre Sur Charente. It is surrounded by vineyards and sunflower fields, half an hour from the beach by car and there are a wealth of family activities and places of interest on the doorstep.
The house dates back to 1471. It has been home to "Seigneurs" up until the Revolution, its most famous guest in 1590, being Henry IV, King of France.
The individual boutique Gites offer a relaxed environment with smart furnishings, modern kitchen equipment, flat screen TV's, internet access and together can sleep a total of 15 people, making it ideal for large groups of families or friends.
